What is a Named Community (NC)?
Washington named community residential customers may qualify for enhanced incentives. Named community residential customers meet the criteria for Standard Incentives and reside in a census tract that meets at least one of the following criteria:
- The customer resides in a census tract that meets the Washington Department of Health (DOH) highly impacted community criteria:
– The census track ranks a nine or ten on the Environmental Health Disparities Map, as designated by the Washington DOH.
– The census tract is covered or partially covered by “Indian Country” as defined and designated by statute (RCW 19.405.020), the census track ranks a nine or ten on the Environmental Health Disparities Map, as designated by the Washington DOH.
- Or the customer resides in a vulnerable populations census tract.
